The Digital Futures \u2018Scholar-in-Residence\u2019 programme<\/strong> aims to provide established research leading scholars at non-Swedish universities with financial support to enable short and longer-term visits to the Digital Futures environment (minimum 1 month, maximum 12 months) over 12 months. This funding programme aims to support academics who wish to benefit from a sabbatical within Digital Futures. How this time away from a home institution is used is flexible and for the scholar-in-residence to decide.<\/p>\n

Our hope for this <\/span>programme<\/span> of funding is to broaden the diversity of those taking part in Digital Futures, to enable new global perspectives on <\/span>digitalisation<\/span> research to influence our progress.\u202f <\/span>We would like to encourage applications from women, and minority candidates as these groups are currently underrepresented within this funding mechanism. <\/span>In all cases, we intend that the scholar-in-residence <\/span>programme<\/span> should enrich the activities of Digital Futures through participation in, for example, research, teaching, events, and mentorship of early career researchers.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Applications to this funding <\/span>programme<\/span> are made on behalf of a proposed scholar-in-residence by a <\/span>Digital Futures faculty member. <\/span>As a potential scholar-in-residence, you should first <\/span>make contact with<\/span> a Digital Futures faculty member with whom you would like to cooperate during your time in the Digital Futures environment (see the full list<\/span> here:\u202f<\/span><\/span>https:\/\/www.digitalfutures.kth.se\/about\/governance\/digital-futures-faculty\/faculty-members\/<\/span><\/span><\/a>). <\/span><\/span>If successfully funded, this Digital Futures faculty member will be your host during the sabbatical, offering practical support as needed to help ensure the residency’s success.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Who can be host <\/span>for<\/span> a <\/span>Scholar<\/span>–<\/span>in<\/span>–<\/span>Residence<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Applications to this funding programme are made on behalf of a proposed scholar-in-residence by a Digital Futures faculty member. Digital Futures Faculty members can only nominate one scholar-in-residence per call.<\/p>\n

KTH and Stockholm University\u202fDigital Futures faculty members can be hosts of a scholar-in-residence. RISE\u202fDigital Futures faculty members can be co-hosts.<\/p>\n

Before applying, the Digital Futures host must have ensured that his\/her department is prepared to receive the scholar-in-residence, and that the proper administrative procedure is followed.<\/p>\n
