The event consists of an intimate career workshop with talks, panels, and sincere discussions. We will cover professional development, and provide opportunities to meet inspiring role models and network with each other. This year, it will be held<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> online <\/span>on <strong>October 18, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Future Digileaders is a part of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/digitalizeinsthlm22.se\">Digitalize in Stockholm 2022<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0an annual conference and meeting place for global thought leaders and rising stars engaged in transformation through digitalization in academia, industry, government and civil society held on October 19 and 20, 2022\u00a0as a hybrid event. The Digileaders will also have the opportunity to take an active role in the Digitalize in Stockholm conference<strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0promoting interactions with researchers and industry players.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After these events, we expect that the Future Digileaders will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>gain insights into the joys and struggles of becoming and being faculty, and awareness of a broad range of career paths and strategies one can choose from<\/li>\n<li>have shaped values and practices that should be promoted in a good research environment<\/li>\n<li>establish new connections to research and industry leaders and a network of international peers<\/li>\n<li>understand the potential of digitalization research in a broader societal context, a peek into different areas of digitalization research, as well as knowledge about state-of-the-art research challenges and advancements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Further career networking opportunities<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants will be invited to visit the Digital Futures cross-disciplinary research centre in Stockholm, Sweden. The program will include research visits to KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University and the Research Institute of Sweden (RISE), as well as excursions to industry to further establish networking opportunities in Stockholm.<\/p>\n<h2>Application<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Eligibility:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0We welcome applications from early-career researchers who identify as women, or as non-binary, and have obtained their PhD degree no earlier than 2018, or are expected to graduate no later than 2024. The eligibility window can be extended by career breaks, such as parental \/ adoption leave, long-term illness, or national service during or after PhD studies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants are expected to be interested in pursuing an academic career in digitalization, especially related to research themes trio\u00a0<strong>Trust &#8211; Learn &#8211; Cooperate<\/strong>. These themes encompass basic as well as applied research in areas including, but not limited to, security and privacy, human-technology interaction, systems and data science, artificial intelligence, robotics, networking, or communication and control.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><strong>Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>Applications must be submitted by<strong>\u00a0October 7, 2022<\/strong>\u00a0(anywhere on earth).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Application material merged into a single pdf should contain:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CV (max 2 pages)<\/li>\n<li>Link to a google scholar profile or a list of publications<\/li>\n<li>Brief (max. 300 words) answer to the question: &#8220;If you could choose freely, what research would you do for digitalization?&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><strong>Apply here: <\/strong><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=digileaders22\">https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=digileaders22<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While submitting your application, you will be required to provide author information, title, and keywords.
